Infinito Left Its Mark in Helsinki, Finland at Junction and Hack Talks 2018

December 5, 2017

This winter, Infinito team traveled to Helsinki, Finland for Junction 2018Europe’s biggest hackathon. From 23-25th November, 1,300 hackers from 105 countries around the world came to learn and compete utilizing the latest technologies, from blockchain to artificial intelligence and virtual reality. Once again serving as mentor, Infinito provided technical advice and guidance for Phoenix team, thus helping them win the blockchain track and get honored as one of the top out of 300 developer teams globally. Prior to this contest, Infinito also spoke at Hack Talks on the 22nd of November, an event filled with insightful keynotes and workshops from tech experts in security, web, cloud, and data science.

Earlier this October, team Phoenix, also under the mentorship of Infinito, was crowned champion of JunctionxHanoi and set to represent Vietnam at this international stage. This time in Finland, Junction featured 11 competitive technology tracks ranging from cloud, AI, mobile, to blockchain and more. Our team competed in the blockchain track of NEO challenge. This challenge requires competing teams to come up with products utilizing DAO Voting mechanism. DAO Voting is to guarantee democracy using cryptography, where stakeholders in a system can vote on adding new rules, changing the rules, or ousting a member. Junction’s blockchain track also featured 2 other challenges from BYTOM and PCHAIN.

Product Manager, Mr. Jackie Pham represented Infinito to provide full support and mentorship for Phoenix who greatly impressed judges and competitors alike. Phoenix created a school-based application that gives students tokens based on their academic performance in the previous term, which can be used to create a new proposal, voting proposal and comments. For this great work, Phoenix was chosen by NEO as the best project in its challenge and received a grand reward of 700 GAS.

Later, Phoenix was also democratically chosen by 10 other teams competing in blockchain track as the track winner. The team advanced to the final round where they competed against 10 winners from other tracks. Although they did not win the hackathon, we are very happy for Phoenix and their incredible achievement competing against global tech experts and were proud to be alongside the team throughout this amazing journey.

Prior to the hackathon, Mr. Jackie Pham also presented Infinito Ecosystem at 2018 Hack Talks along with other prominent tech experts. Infinito Ecosystem is our all-in-one solution to spread mass adoption of blockchain for business and end-users. Jackie also introduced Infinito Wallet, the core of our Ecosystem that provides universal access to leading blockchains and cryptocurrencies while connecting businesses with consumers. Very soon, the Universal Wallet will launch a built-in dApp marketplace called App Square, where end users can securely and conveniently enjoy innovative blockchain dApps and services. Our speech was very well-received as the audience showed great interest in the Universal Wallet and its impressive technical capabilities.

Infinito Wallet is one of the foundations of Infinito Ecosystem for users to manage crypto wealth, enjoy applications and to make payments securely and seamlessly in few clicks, while businesses can efficiently build and launch successful blockchain innovations. Through our ecosystem, Infinito aims to drive true blockchain mass adoption for both users and businesses by solving the problems of poor experience, interoperability, and general inaccessibility they are facing in decentralized world.

Coming back from Finland, Infinito team was thrilled to be part of a successful event and part of Phoenix’s victory. We had a great opportunity to showcase our technical prowess and the power of the world’s best Universal Wallet. Infinito will continue to provide the best support not only for our users and partners worldwide but also the young crypto community and the blockchain industry.
